WEEK AT A GLANCE

Week of August 30, 2021

INTEGRATED STEM THEMES RELATING EACH DISCIPLINE TO ESSENTIAL QUESTIONS CONCERNING INVENTION:

Issues of pattern, process and scale when invention allows for a solution to a problem.

Reading:  How can circumstances push us to create new inventions and to build our abilities to try again?

What can we learn about design processes from the sketches of inventors-- from the U.S., Honduras, Mexico and other places?  What mental and/or creative processes do they share?  How have scientific processes and inventions changed the lifestyle and environment of Galveston (both currently and historically)?

What can social sciences teach us about how to reframe and reimagine our mindsets about  innovation and location - both academic and personal?

Atentamente, Camille Jones, Maestra Grado Qto, STEM AMS
